Over at Mean they created a video series called Cinemash, where they take a creative team from a film, or tv show and have them re-make a scene from another popular film. For example the first one, that can currently be seen here stars Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Sid and Nancy. Follow the two links to learn more, looks like some pretty good ones are coming down the pipe.
Overall it's pretty great that they are doing this, it's a great idea and great for cinema to have these filmmakers essentially make fan films. They are a lot of fun, and actually interesting.
As you can tell it inspired me, and hopefully it will inspire you to enter the IBP Film Fest.
