alright, so I'm a little confused as to why you decided to post this video. Is it simply because Britney was such a force in the early 2000, and you had to give her a nod? I was sorta hoping for some sort of explanation on this one.
Well... how could I look back on the year 2000 and pretend that these major pop acts didn't happen. 2000 is a hugely different to 2001, so I wanted to show a large sample of a cultural artifacts from the year 2000.
This video is also, so atypical today, as it's estimated with inflation to be a video that cost nearly a million dollars. The album, sold the most copies in a single day for a solo artist ever. (Unsure if that record still holds.)
Also nominated for a grammy, and 3 MTV Video music awards, including "Viewers Choice". Certainly a relevant cultural artifact.
(Also, during the shoot a camera fell on Britney's head, causing her to bleed, and then sleep for 17 hours the next day... beginning of the end of Britney's sanity?)
